When we headed down to Smoky High House in August for Grant's 40th birthday we realized we'd be in town for Jeep Invasion Weekend, so of course we booked a Jeep for a rental car. We had a blast driving around, waving at other Jeep lovers, and giving a thumbs up to really cool Jeeps. The previous summer during a family vacation we rented a Jeep from a local company for one day so we could take the kids out and drive some of the scenic highways and through Cades Cove. The kids thought the Jeep was such a cool experience! There's nothing quite like driving with an open top along the mountain roads surrounded by trees, rivers, and sunshine. The local area hosts a number of car themed weekends and expos. From Jeeps, to Mustangs, to Corvettes, to Hot Rods, there's a weekend to come cruise in your own car, visit the parking lots, or just enjoy seeing them drive along side you on the local roads. Or, if you are just in the mood to cruise the mountain roads in a Jeep, there are a number of Jeep rental places in Pigeon Forge, Townsend, and Gatlinburg where you can rent Jeeps for a half day, full day, or multiple days.

Please note, if you want to rent a Jeep while you are visiting, we highly recommend making reservations as soon as you know you are going to be taking a trip to the area. There are a number of Jeep rental companies in the area that are great to work with, but Jeeps book up quickly especially during summer months.
