Townsend, TN: The Peaceful Side of the Smokies



Smoky High House is located 8 miles from the city of Townsend, or about a 15 minute drive. Chartered in 1921 to support the Little River Railroad and Lumber Company, Townsend offers visitors a variety of activities and seasonal events. From hiking, biking, river tubing, fishing, and camping to exploring local restaurants and shops, it's worth taking time to explore the town.
